On May 7, 2025, Tampa Bay Wave hosted its annual Tech|X Pitch Night, the culminating event of its nationally recognized Tech|X Accelerator program, powered by the Nielsen Foundation. The event featured 15 high-growth startups across AI, healthtech, fintech, legal tech, and more, each having spent months refining their ventures through mentorship, investor coaching, and strategic support.
“This cohort represents the boldest thinkers in tech today. These founders are not just building solutions, they’re tackling systemic challenges with scalable innovation that will create ripple effects across industries and communities” said Linda Olson, President and Founder of Tampa Bay Wave.
This year’s companies came from across the country, tackling challenges in healthcare, immigration, litigation, workforce development, and beyond. The excitement in the room reflected a growing recognition of Tampa Bay Wave’s role in accelerating impactful technology and strengthening the region’s innovation ecosystem.
“These companies are addressing real-world problems with solutions that matter and doing so with speed, intelligence, and heart. We’re honored to help them scale” said Dr. Richard Munassi, Managing Director of the Accelerator.
Andrea Bertels, President and Executive Director of Grantmaking at the Nielsen Foundation, echoed this sentiment: “From AI to healthtech to inclusive education, this year’s Tech|X class reflects the power of technology to drive meaningful change.
