A fast-growing artificial intelligence company focused on automating core business operations is putting down roots in Miami, betting on the city’s momentum as a national tech hub.
DeployAIBots, founded by entrepreneur and former U.S. Army cyber officer Joel Yi, announced it has officially established its headquarters in Miami as it scales its platform for agentic AI systems, software designed not just to assist employees, but to actively execute business tasks.
The company builds AI-driven systems that handle repetitive operational work such as lead follow-up, customer communication, appointment scheduling, and internal coordination. The goal: allow companies to grow without increasing headcount at the same pace.
“We’re creating systems that allow companies to run more efficiently without needing to scale headcount at the same pace,” Yi said. “That changes how businesses grow.”
From support tool to autonomous operator
Unlike traditional SaaS tools that assist human workers, DeployAIBots is focused on what it calls “agentic AI”, systems that can independently take action across workflows.
That means instead of simply organizing tasks or surfacing insights, these systems can execute processes end-to-end, maintain consistency across operations, and reduce reliance on manual input.
The company says it can deploy these systems in a matter of days, avoiding long development cycles and complex integrations that often slow down enterprise tech adoption. Internally, DeployAIBots is already using its own technology to streamline operations, reporting savings of more than 150 hours of work per week.
Why Miami
DeployAIBots’ move to Miami reflects a broader shift as startups and tech talent continue to relocate to South Florida.
Yi cited the city’s growing startup ecosystem, access to international talent, and proximity to Latin American markets as key factors in the decision. The company also plans to engage more directly with local founders and early-stage companies exploring AI applications.
From its Miami base, DeployAIBots intends to expand both domestically and internationally, positioning the city as a launchpad for broader growth.
Founder with cyber and AI roots
Yi’s path to founding DeployAIBots spans cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and entrepreneurship.
Originally from Malaysia, he moved to the U.S. as a teenager and later became one of the first cyber officers in the U.S. Army’s cyber branch, where he worked on network defense and monitored foreign threats targeting U.S. infrastructure.
He later built and scaled multiple AI ventures, including developing an early machine learning model in 2018 capable of identifying rare plant species with high accuracy, before AI became widely adopted in business settings.
That technical background now informs DeployAIBots’ approach to building scalable and secure automation systems.
What’s next
With its headquarters now established, DeployAIBots is looking to expand across industries and explore applications beyond startups, including larger enterprises and potential public sector use cases.
The company is focused on practical implementations of AI that reduce operational friction, cut costs tied to repetitive work, and enable faster scaling in competitive markets.
As more companies look to integrate AI into day-to-day operations, DeployAIBots is betting that the future isn’t just AI-assisted work, but AI-executed work.
