Miami Plastic Surgeon Dr. Constantino Mendieta Is Redefining Beauty at 4beauty

When Dr. Constantino Mendieta talks about his work, it is less about surgery and more about transformation. The Miami board-certified plastic surgeon is recognized for pioneering body contouring techniques, but today his focus extends into regenerative medicine and human optimization.

Born in Los Angeles and raised in Nicaragua, Mendieta’s life was upended when political upheaval forced his family to flee. His father narrowly escaped execution, and Mendieta found inspiration in his uncle, a surgeon who treated war victims. By age eight, he knew his calling.

“I saw people gravitate to him because of what he could give them,” Mendieta recalls. “I wanted that kind of power to help, to heal, and to be loved.”

That drive carried him through a five-year general surgery residency in Phoenix, a three-year plastic surgery fellowship at the University of Miami, and advanced training in Brazil, Paris, Scotland, New York, Beverly Hills, and Harvard. His philosophy has remained constant: always be the least knowledgeable person in the room so you never stop learning.

While trained in facial aesthetics, Mendieta found his breakthrough in body contouring. After eight years studying the gluteal region, he developed a new approach to reshaping the human frame. His lectures, publications, and book helped establish buttock aesthetics as a global subspecialty.

His practice, 4Beauty, has since evolved into an innovation lab where regenerative plastic surgery meets biohacking. Mendieta and his team integrate therapies such as stem cells, peptides, red light, hydrogen, and ozone to accelerate recovery and enhance wellness. He is also co-authoring research on rib cage contouring, a technique designed to redefine the body’s architecture.

“The external results are only part of the story,” Mendieta says. “If someone is not okay on the inside, no surgery can fix that. My mission is to transform not just bodies but lives.”

Looking ahead, Mendieta envisions spending less time in the operating room and more time sharing his story. His belief that everyone is only seconds away from a new beginning guides his next chapter.

As Miami builds its reputation as a hub for health innovation, Mendieta’s blend of artistry, science, and human-centered healing is placing him and his city at the center of plastic surgery’s future.
