Concerts, games, festivals, Eric Bush has spent more than 20 years in the energy of live events, witnessing the same fleeting phenomenon: fans show up, the lights go down, the energy peaks, and then it fades. As founder and CEO of DayOnes Live®, Bush is on a mission to bottle that magic and turn it into lasting relationships between artists and their supporters.
A Tampa-based founder and product builder, Bush brings eight years of experience creating mobile tech and intellectual property around real-world user needs. He is the mind behind DayOnes’ patented geo-fenced “digital autograph” system and holds the DayOnes Live® trademark. “Every show is an opportunity,” Bush says. “We wanted a way to make that energy count for artists and for fans.”
The inspiration for DayOnes stems from Bush’s and his wife’s deep roots in hospitality and live events. “We kept seeing the same miss: fans leave with a great memory, but it disappears too quickly,” he explains. DayOnes Live® gives artists a private channel to 100 percent verified supporters, paired with a collectible digital autograph sent directly to the fan. “Being a DayOne is a badge of honor, proof you’re a real one,” Bush says. “It’s real recognition for fans and real ownership for artists, without bots or algorithms.”
Convincing the industry to adopt new tech has not been easy. “Education is our biggest hurdle,” Bush admits. “That’s why we focus on showing, not telling. A live demo does more than words ever could. One tap and every fan receives a personal keepsake, while the artist walks away with a channel they own.” The platform recently launched its pilot program with headlining-act activations rolling out soon. Bush emphasizes that the guiding principle behind DayOnes is simple: meaningful relationships matter more than any metric.
What sets DayOnes apart is its focus on genuine engagement. Unlike platforms aimed at casual followers, DayOnes captures the crowd the moment the lights hit and moves them into an owned, messageable group. This patented approach bridges peak in-venue emotion with long-term engagement and revenue, giving artists control without the costs of legacy systems.
Bush’s career highlights reflect his innovative approach: securing a U.S. method patent, a registered trademark, engagement with USF CONNECT’s Evolve accelerator, and strategic conversations with prominent managers, promoters, and venue operators. His “lights hit, autograph drop, instant group” playbook is designed to unlock new revenue from merch, ticketing, and sponsorships, a playbook that is already proving its worth in real-world activations.
Looking ahead, Bush sees DayOnes Live® becoming a must-have for concerts, games, and festivals worldwide. “Our dream is to make the digital autograph as expected as the ticket itself,” he says. Long-term, he hopes DayOnes will become the standard for live-event engagement, connecting fans and artists long after the lights go down.
